Man killed by uncle over property

LAHORE: A man was gunned down by his uncle over a property dispute in the Sherankot police precincts on Tuesday.

Muhammad Aslam had property near Noonarian Chowk. Almost ten months ago, Aslam’s uncle Ghulam Mustafa took Rs 200,000 from Jaffar Ali and Nazar Ali and gave them possession of Aslam’s property. Later, Mustafa and armed accomplices tried to occupy the property but failed when locals resisted.

On Tuesday, Mustafa again tried to occupy the land and shot Aslam when he and locals resisted. The body was sent for autopsy.

Man killed for resisting robbery: A man was gunned down by robbers for resisting a robbery in the Nishtar Colony police precincts.

Maqsood, a resident of Thehat village, was ploughing his fields when armed people held him up at gunpoint and took away his tractor-trolley. Maqsood tried to resist but the robbers shot him. He died instantly. The body was sent for autopsy and the police registered a case on the complaint of deceased’s father Muhammad Bashir. However, the police investigators said that Maqsood was murdered due to old enmity.

Motorcyclist dies: A motorcyclist died after falling from his bike in the Sandha police precincts on Tuesday.

Ateequr Rehman was a resident of Sandha. He was on his motorcycle when he fell onto the road and fell unconscious. Passersby rushed him to Mayo Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. Doctors said that he died due to a heart attack. The body was handed over to the family without autopsy.

Woman commits suicide: A teenaged girl committed suicide by swallowing poison after her parent humiliated her over domestic issues in the Gulberg police precincts. Samina, 17, was beaten by her mother for not doing house chores, on which she swallowed poison. Her family rushed her to Jinnah Hospital where doctors pronounced her dead. The body was handed over to the family without autopsy.

Woman dies in hospital: An unidentified woman died in Mayo Hospital on Tuesday. She was brought to the hospital by another woman on Monday.

Naseem brought a woman to Mayo Hospital in an unconscious condition on Monday and fled. The doctors said that the deceased might be poisoned. Later, the hospital administration tried to contact Naseem but found out that her address was wrong. The body was sent for autopsy and the police had started investigations.

Boy dies: A ten-year-old boy fell from his house’s roof and died in the Johar Town police precincts on Tuesday.

Naveed, a resident of B-1 Johar Town, was on the roof, from which he fell while trying to catch a stray kite. He was rushed to a hospital where he died of his injuries. The body was handed over to the family without autopsy.

Guard dies of bullet: A private security guard succumbed to a bullet injury at Mayo Hospital on Tuesday. He was brought to the hospital a couple of days ago when he accidentally shot himself while cleaning his pistol in the Shahdara police precincts. Intizar Hussain was cleaning his pistol when he accidentally fired a bullet, which hit him in the chest. staff report
